Poco a Poco is a programme that aims to bring music to underprivileged children and youth through long-term music lessons. Beneficiaries often face barriers that limit their access to musical learning. We aim to bridge this gap by allowing them to explore and play a musical instrument. Music plays a key role in development; everyone should have the right to experience it.
YouthHarmony visited Big Heart at Yang Zheng Primary School for 1 session and worked with 15 children. Throughout the session, the children were exposed to the cajon, learnt the basics of rhythm, and enjoyed musical minigames. We have received feedback that it was a great programme, and the children loved it. We cannot wait to be back again!
